NRG Releases 2017 Sustainability Report, Continues its Best-in-Class Reporting
Key 2017 achievements include:
- Second best safety year in company history.
- 35% reduction of GHG (carbon) emissions to-date, from a 2014 baseline.
- Avoided 70 million tons of CO2 to-date, through low and zero carbon energy solutions and retail electricity plans for our customers—more than half of the way to our 2020 customer GHG emissions avoided goal1.
- Reduced water withdrawal by 40%2—achieving the company’s 2030 water goal.
